The method of EPh is important a) because it allows to understand what makes an artwork appealing by means of a careful examination of how the single parts of an artwork appear and how these parts combine to give rise to the general aesthetic experience; b) because the mutual exchange between experimentation and reflection is fundamental when investigating aesthetic experience.
