WHY IS EXPERIMENTAL PHENOMENOLOGY IMPORTANT?

Eph is important for research on risk perception and evaluation, since we know that when evaluating risk resulting from an hazard, people rely on some characteristics of the hazard that are immediately accessible via affective and global perception and these are different for naive and expert people. Naive people react to the hazard “affordances”, while the expert think of the calculation of probabilities. Eph can help us to understand what are the “affordances” of an hazard that matter for naive people.
