WHY IS EXPERIMENTAL PHENOMENOLOGY IMPORTANT?

Giulia Parovel

[expressive events; perception of causality]
Eph has been fruitfully applied to study direct perception of causality. EPh may lead to further explorations of cause-effect perceptual relationships underlying non-causally related events (e.g. illusionism magic tricks, slapstick comedies, Disney’s style animated drawings), and to explore the comical impressions underlying the perception of visual incongruities in these relationships.
