WHY IS EXPERIMENTAL PHENOMENOLOGY IMPORTANT?
University of Liverpool, UK & Università di Padova, IT
[visual perception, mid level vision, shape, grouping, symmetry and visual preference]
EPh is important since phenomenology is and has always been the starting point of any study of perception (now we can combine it with information about brain activation). Careful attention to the phenomena can make us discover amazing new things: theories, measurements and experiments come afterwards.
